2022 was another year full of informing new and existing generator owners, new trends, and successful installation projects. As we look forward to 2023, we recap the past year while gearing up for the new year ahead.

2022 Recap

In 2022, we’ve learned about the necessity of generator maintenance and repair, different models and functionalities of generators from portable to commercial and residential options, the threat that summer storms pose to homeowners and business owners alike, recapped on past innovations with the history of electrical engines and generators, and looked to the future predictions of the 2022 automated generator industry, focusing on the innovation of Generac Generators and their commitment to sustainability and quality.

2023 Trends

The global Home Backup Generators market size was valued at USD 1662.52 million in 2022 and is expected grow by 6.38%, reaching USD 2409.53 million by 2027. This growth may be in part due to rapidly growing manufacturing industries and increasing demand for backup power supplies worldwide. Additionally, as research and development search for new generator fuel alternatives for fossil fuels, manufacturers have been propelled to launch innovative generators such as hybrid generators and bifuel. These generators utilise two sources of energy to supply electricity depending on the need and may become more prevalent for in-home, commercial, and portable generators domestically and abroad. These trends also prove a challenge as pressure mounts for investing in clean energy while providing for rising energy demands.

Thank you to all of our clients who supported us through 2022. From the Automated Home Generators team, we’re fortunate for your business and excited for what the new year will bring us. From new generator innovation and models to new methods of repair, and new clients, we’ll be there every step of the way in the next year and beyond.
